The Dong-gu Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City has begun listening to community-based civil complaints.
From the 21st to the 31st, the Dong-gu Council will hold the '2023 Residents' Opinion Listening Days.' Starting with Chungjang-dong and Dongmyeong-dong, they plan to tour 13 neighborhoods within the district.
Any resident of Dong-gu can participate, and for more details, inquiries can be made at each neighborhood administrative welfare center or the Dong-gu Council Secretariat.
Kim Jae-sik, Chairman of the Dong-gu Council, said, "This initiative was started as part of open legislative activities with residents."
He added, "Although there is no threshold to the council, some residents still perceive it as high, so we will meet them directly and work to create a Dong-gu where their opinions are realized."
