Bugaboo High Chair and Baby Crib Achieve Highest Indoor Air Quality Safety Certification 'GREENGUARD Gold'

Dutch premium stroller brand Bugaboo announced that its high chair ‘Bugaboo Giraffe’ and foldable baby crib ‘Bugaboo Stardust’ have obtained the Greenguard Gold certification, which verifies indoor air quality safety.

Greenguard certification is an eco-friendly certification issued by UL Solutions, a global safety standards certification organization, that evaluates whether products meet indoor environment and air quality standards. It measures emissions of volatile organic compounds and formaldehyde, as well as respirable dust, which can volatilize into the air and cause allergies, respiratory, and neurological disorders. Only products that pass strict criteria are granted certification. In particular, the highest grade, ‘Greenguard Gold’ certification, is awarded to products that meet even more rigorous and stringent standards, meaning the product is safe for indoor use and suitable for environments such as medical facilities.

Since young children can be more affected by indoor environments, using safe products is important. The high chair ‘Bugaboo Giraffe’ and foldable baby crib ‘Bugaboo Stardust’ have proven through obtaining the ‘Greenguard Gold’ certification that they are safe products that all family members, including children, can use indoors without worrying about harmful substances.

Bugaboo Giraffe, which has received much attention since its launch in July due to its easy and simple height adjustment method and lightweight design, is a premium high chair designed in a stable pyramid shape so that children can sit safely and comfortably. By obtaining the Greenguard Gold certification, it has been confirmed as a safe product harmless to indoor air. Additionally, it is an eco-friendly product made from FSC-certified beech wood and ISCC-certified bio-plastic materials. This means it uses wood produced from forests managed through forest protection methods and plant-based eco-friendly plastic materials, helping to protect forests and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 42%, thus benefiting the environment.

Bugaboo Stardust is a premium foldable baby crib that can be easily folded and unfolded for use anytime and anywhere. Weighing 7.7 kg, it is lightweight and convenient to move around the house, allowing the child and caregiver to watch over each other at all times. It comes with a travel bag, making it convenient to carry the product when visiting nearby relatives or going on a hotel staycation. The sturdy multi-layer mattress supports the child’s weight stably, and all four sides are made of breathable mesh for excellent ventilation. The chemical-free fabric used ensures safety for the child.
