Doosan Robotics announced on the 17th that it conducted a social contribution activity called "Making Happy Memories with Collaborative Robots" at the children's welfare facility Kkum Namu Maeul in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul.
Starting with collaborative robot education by Doosan Robotics employees and volunteer workers, they lectured on the concept and basic operation process of collaborative robots using an educational kit. They also provided opportunities for hands-on demonstrations to engage the children’s interest.
They installed the camera robot "Nina," which helps produce professional-level content even without filming skills, allowing the children to freely take photos and videos with the volunteers as part of an experiential activity.
The volunteers spent time delivering fried chicken made by the collaborative robot to the children and enjoying conversations together. The collaborative robot frying solution "Rwabot-E," launched in collaboration with RoboArte, can handle 50 frying baskets per hour, cooking bone-in chicken in about 9 minutes and 30 seconds, and boneless chicken in about 6 minutes.
A Doosan Robotics official said, "This was a great opportunity to let children know that collaborative robots work alongside people to help with difficult tasks," adding, "We will continue to discover various social contribution activities using collaborative robots for the local community."
