Students from Baku State University of Azerbaijan to Attend One-Year Visiting Program at Inha University

Students from Baku State University of Oil and Industry in Azerbaijan will receive visiting education at Inha University for one year as part of a dual degree program.

Inha University announced on the 14th that it held an orientation on the 11th for students from Baku State University of Oil and Industry, sharing rules of conduct, schedules, and course content that students need to know during their classes.

Previously, building on the success of 'Inha University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (IUT),' Inha University expanded its Korean education export to Azerbaijan and signed a dual degree program agreement with Baku State University of Oil and Industry in 2020. Under this program, students from Baku State University of Oil and Industry study locally for three years based on Inha University's curriculum and complete the remaining one year in Korea to earn degrees from both universities.

The program aims to cultivate experts in the fields of information and communication engineering, electronic engineering, electrical engineering, and social infrastructure engineering for the future development of Azerbaijani society. All expenses, including project costs and tuition fees, are provided by the Azerbaijan State Oil Fund, with support from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Education.

This year marks the first time that students from Baku State University of Oil and Industry are receiving visiting education at Inha University as part of the dual degree program. The 61 participating students will take courses related to social infrastructure engineering, information and communication engineering, electrical engineering, and electronic engineering until June next year.

Having learned Korean as part of their regular curriculum during the three years of study in Azerbaijan, these students will attend all classes in Korean during the visiting education period. This is to nurture talents proficient in Korean and contribute to the development of both countries.
