Gyeonggi-do Surpasses 80,000 COVID-19 Cases Last Week

The number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Gyeonggi-do surpassed 80,000 last week.

Gyeonggi-do announced on the 14th that the number of new COVID-19 cases reported in the province from the 7th to the 13th was 82,682. This is an increase of 2,877 cases compared to the previous week (from the 31st of last month to the 6th of this month), which had 79,805 cases.

Accordingly, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the province rose to 9,088,327. Additionally, there were 15 deaths last week, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,572.

Meanwhile, as of the 13th, the occupancy rate of dedicated COVID-19 hospital beds (190 beds) was 55.3%, with the occupancy rate of severe patient beds (65 beds) at 49.2%.
