Support for accommodations continues after Jamboree ends... Ministry of the Interior and Safety "Presidential directive"

Ministry of the Interior and Safety "Support to Continue Under Presidential Directive"
Initially Announced No Support After the 12th
Guidelines Reversed by President Yoon Seok-yeol's Order

After the 'K-pop Super Live' on the 11th marks the end of the '2023 Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree,' accommodation support will continue even after the official schedule. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety stated on the day, "Following the President's directive, we plan to provide necessary support such as accommodation for jamboree participants who wish to stay beyond the 12th," adding, "The principle is to provide accommodations arranged by local governments, but detailed plans will be discussed with the local authorities."

Earlier, during the daily briefing of the Jamboree Organizing Committee, Kim Kwon-young, head of the World Jamboree Support Team at the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family (Youth Policy Officer), said, "If participants have difficulty finding accommodation, we can assist in connecting them, but in principle, after the 12th, each country is responsible for arranging accommodations." However, the situation changed after President Yoon instructed Prime Minister Han Duck-soo to "provide maximum support for accommodation, meals, transportation, cultural experiences, and tourism for all scout members of every country until their final departure after the closing ceremony." Meanwhile, the scouts are scheduled to depart sequentially starting from the 12th after participating in the closing ceremony and the K-pop concert on the day.
