The Dongseo University LINC 3.0 Project Group held the '2023 Disability Media Festival' in conjunction with the 2023 Busan World Disabled Games from the 7th to the 11th.
The 2023 Disability Media Festival was organized by the Dongseo University LINC 3.0 Project Group, Busan Viewer Media Center of the Korea Communications Agency, Busan Disabled People's Federation, Dongguk University LINC 3.0 Project Group, Korea Video University LINC 3.0 Project Group, and the ICC Council in the content field.
All programs of the event were provided with subtitles, sign language, and scene descriptions so that people with visual and hearing impairments could also enjoy them.
The Dongseo University LINC 3.0 Project Group Shared Collaboration Center collaborated with the Dongguk University LINC 3.0 Project Group, Korea Video University LINC 3.0 Project Group, and the ICC Council in the content field to screen the barrier-free independent film Alcohol Drop at the Busan Viewer Media Center's public hall.
The ICC Council in the content field, which co-hosted the event, was launched in June 2022 as a nationwide LINC 3.0 Project Group content field ICC council, continuously conducting shared collaboration programs for workforce development and technology commercialization in the content field.
The council includes Dongseo University XR Content ICC, Kyungil University XR Media ICC, Honam University Cultural Content ICC, Dongguk University DX Immersive Media ICC, Daejeon University Cultural Design Technology ICC, and Hallym University Immersive Media Content ICC.
Hwang Gi-hyun, head of the Dongseo University LINC 3.0 Project Group and Shared Collaboration Center, said, “Dongseo University has led the spread of barrier-free culture in the Busan area for seven years and provides barrier-free versions of cultural content education program outcomes annually to the Disability Media Festival.”
He added, “We plan to continuously contribute to the improvement of universal cultural welfare through organic cooperation between universities and local communities.”
