With the dissipation of Typhoon 'Khanun,' the nationwide landslide warning level has also been lowered.
The Korea Forest Service announced on the 11th at 1 p.m. that the nationwide landslide warning would be downgraded from "Severe" to "Caution."
The warning levels are divided into four stages: "Interest - Caution - Alert - Severe."
However, regardless of the downgrade in the warning level, the Korea Forest Service plans to maintain a 24-hour situation monitoring and emergency response system centered on the Central Landslide Accident Response Headquarters for the time being to assess typhoon damage and carry out emergency measures.
Nam Sung-hyun, head of the Korea Forest Service, stated, "We will quickly assess the typhoon damage situation and focus on emergency restoration and early stabilization to prevent secondary damage."
