YouTube Channel Reveals My Face and Real Name
Denies Allegations of Running Overseas Futures Signal Room
"I Don't Do Drugs... It Must Be a Sleeping Pill Ingredient"
The driver who drove a Rolls-Royce, an ultra-luxury foreign car, onto the sidewalk and seriously injured a woman in her 20s appeared on a YouTube channel and claimed, "I have no memory of the accident at all," while also asserting, "I provided first aid to the victim." He strongly denied the detection of seven types of psychotropic drugs, including ketamine, saying, "I did not take any drugs."
The suspect, Shin Mo (28), appeared on the YouTube channel 'Karacula Detective Agency' (hereafter 'Karacula') on the 10th, revealing his face without mosaic and agreeing to an interview. He also disclosed his real name. Since the accident, the channel has been tracking the suspect’s personal information, past activities, and the source of the money that enabled him to drive a vehicle worth 700 million won despite being in his 20s.
Shin repeatedly claimed he does not remember the accident but insisted that he provided first aid to the victim. When Karacula asked, "You say you provided first aid?" he replied, "Yes, it is on the CCTV," but when pressed with "I saw the CCTV," he changed his statement to, "The police said I provided first aid, so I thought I did." Regarding fleeing the scene immediately after the accident, he vaguely said, "I don't remember the accident."
He claimed that the Rolls-Royce he was driving at the time belonged to a close older brother and that the expensive watches he had flaunted were fake. He completely denied suspicions that he generated massive profits through operating overseas gift reading rooms. When asked, "Then how did you make a lot of money?" he answered, "I didn't make much money."
Regarding the detection of seven types of psychotropic drugs in the National Forensic Service test, he said, "I take sleeping pills, so it seems to have come from there." About the public outcry after the police released Shin despite the suspicion of drug use and causing serious injury to a pedestrian, he explained, "The police released me to issue prescriptions and medical opinions related to the detected drugs."
Shin is accused of driving a Rolls-Royce onto the sidewalk around 8:10 p.m. on the 2nd, injuring a woman in her 20s, A. The victim, A, suffered fractures in both legs and serious injuries to her abdomen and head, and entered a brain death state from the early morning of the 5th. According to A’s family, the medical staff treating A have advised the family to prepare themselves mentally.
