Establishment of a Complex Facility for Joint Use by Local Communities and Schools
Gohung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced on the 10th that it signed a business agreement with the Gohung Office of Education (Superintendent Park Kyung-hee) at the county office governor's office to ensure the stable promotion of the school complex facility project.
The agreement includes ▲ creating internal and external conditions for promoting the school complex facility project ▲ joint response investment to secure funding ▲ mutual sharing of data and information ▲ sharing of human and material resources related to operation.
The school complex facility project is a project conducted through a Ministry of Education public contest to install and operate public facilities such as education, care, culture, and sports facilities needed by schools and communities in cooperation with the Office of Education and local governments. Through this agreement, Gohung-gun and the Gohung Office of Education have decided to join forces in line with the policy to revitalize school complex facilities for establishing a national responsibility education and care system.
Through this project, the two organizations plan to build a school complex facility by utilizing the temporarily closed Gohung Yeongju High School to improve the living conditions of local residents and students and provide educational and cultural programs. The facility will include an Integrated Neulbom Center, Lifelong Education Center, multipurpose gymnasium, ecological playground, and forest experience space.
Governor Gong Young-min said, “The school complex facility, which can be used by both students and local residents, is an important project that can improve the education and care environment and proactively respond to issues such as regional extinction. Therefore, we will cooperate with the Gohung Office of Education to ensure the successful promotion of the project.”
