Booyoung Group announced on the 10th that it held a completion and donation ceremony for the Ujeong Dormitory at Yongsan Railroad High School in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

The event was attended by Chairman Lee Hee-beom, CEO Choi Yang-hwan, Executive Director Park Hyun-soon (all from Booyoung Group), Cho Hee-yeon, Superintendent of Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, Lim Gyu-hyung, Director of Central Education Support Office, Baek Hae-ryong, Director of Northern Education Support Office, and Hong Min-pyo, Principal of Yongsan Railroad High School.
Chairman Lee Hee-beom said, "I am pleased to build and donate the Ujeong Dormitory to Yongsan Railroad High School, Korea's first specialized high school in the railroad field," adding, "As the founder of Booyoung Group, Lee Joong-geun, believed that education is a long-term plan for a hundred years (百年之大計), I hope that students will nurture their dreams and talents at Ujeong Dormitory and grow into outstanding talents."
Principal Hong Min-pyo responded, "We thank the executives and employees of Booyoung Group for laying the foundation for the school's development through the construction and donation of the Ujeong Dormitory," and added, "We will strive to nurture talents who will play leading roles in mobility fields such as railroads and automobiles."
The Ujeong Dormitory at Yongsan Railroad High School was built with a total floor area of approximately 1,000㎡, three stories above ground, and a total of 28 rooms. It is equipped with facilities such as a system air conditioner, community room, and laundry room.
Booyoung Group has constructed and donated over 130 educational and cultural facilities nationwide, including dormitories, libraries, and gymnasiums, named Ujeong Dormitory after the pen name 'Ujeong (宇庭)' of founder Lee Joong-geun. The group is also interested in supporting university educational facilities and has donated Ujeongwon buildings to 12 universities including Seoul National University, Korea University, and Yonsei University.
Booyoung Group, practicing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management, has donated a total of over 1.1 trillion KRW to society so far. Recently, the founder Lee Joong-geun's personal donation of 260 billion KRW also attracted attention.
