Enhanced Coverage for Outpatient Treatment and Inclusion of Payment Exemption Benefits
KB Insurance has launched a product that guarantees coverage up to 10 times, with up to 5 times each for major diseases occurring in the brain and heart.
KB Insurance announced on the 8th that it has released the 'KB 2 Major Diseases Ten-Time Coverage Insurance.'
This product includes the 'Integrated Brain Disease Diagnosis Benefit' and 'Integrated Heart Disease Diagnosis Benefit,' which provide step-by-step coverage according to the progression of diseases that can occur in the brain and heart, helping to manage and prevent further deterioration. It is explained that this ensures comprehensive coverage for brain and heart diseases, which are among the top three major diseases affecting Koreans.
Specifically, the 'Integrated Brain Disease Diagnosis Benefit' covers up to 5 times at each stage of progression, from mild diseases such as epilepsy and transient ischemic attack, which are precursors to stroke, to severe diseases such as cerebral artery stenosis, cerebral infarction, and cerebral hemorrhage.
The 'Integrated Heart Disease Diagnosis Benefit' also provides coverage up to 5 times at each stage of progression, from relatively mild or common diseases such as cardiomyopathy and arrhythmia to severe heart diseases such as valvular stenosis, heart failure, and acute myocardial infarction.
Additionally, a new special rider for coverage of prescriptions of specific circulatory system disease treatments, including 'Warfarin' and the new drug 'NOAC,' has been added.
In particular, this new product has strengthened outpatient treatment coverage. Previously, outpatient daily benefits were only provided for general hospitals and tertiary hospitals, but this product has expanded the 'Tertiary Hospital Outpatient Daily Benefit' amount for customers in regions without tertiary hospitals. Furthermore, a new 'General Hospital Outpatient Daily Benefit' has been established to cover outpatient treatment at general hospitals as well.
There is also a premium waiver benefit. If it becomes difficult to pay premiums due to a major disease, coverage can continue without paying future premiums. This applies to cases diagnosed with ▲stroke ▲acute myocardial infarction ▲80% disability due to injury or illness, or those who have undergone ▲cerebrovascular disease surgery or ▲ischemic heart disease surgery.
Shin Deok-man, Executive Director and Head of Long-Term Products at KB Insurance, said, "This product reduces the financial burden required for major disease treatment and provides sufficient coverage for rehabilitation treatment. We will continue to strive to help customers lead stable and healthy lives by launching various new products."
