Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, Attends the 2023 Nowon Summer Waterpark Event with Families of Persons with Disabilities

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the ‘2023 Nowon Summer Waterpark Event with Families of Persons with Disabilities’ held on the 7th at the Seoul National University of Science and Technology sports ground in Nowon-gu, Seoul.

Taking advantage of the fact that the existing Nowon Waterpark is closed on Mondays, the event was hosted by Nowon District and the Nowon District Federation of Persons with Disabilities, where approximately 410 people including persons with disabilities, their families, and activity supporters enjoyed water activities.

The event proceeded with congratulatory speeches, commemorative photos, and rounds of activities, attended by Mayor Oh Seung-rok, members of the National Assembly, district council members, and the Nowon District Federation of Persons with Disabilities.

The ‘Nowon Waterpark’ is equipped with artificial turf covering 9,000㎡ of the Seoul National University of Science and Technology sports ground, featuring an 80-meter-long water slide, three outdoor swimming pools, a lazy river, two air slides, and ten handle boats.

The operation period runs until August 15, and to maintain water quality and facilities, it is closed every Monday and during heavy rain. Operating hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 4:50 p.m.
