On Monday the 7th, there will be occasional clouds nationwide, but the heat will persist. The morning low temperatures across the country are forecasted to be between 23 and 27 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs ranging from 28 to 37 degrees Celsius.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the area around Haseo-myeon, Buan-gun, Jeonbuk, where the '2023 Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree' is taking place, will experience hot weather with daytime temperatures rising up to 33 degrees Celsius on the 7th. The East Coast will be mostly cloudy, and occasional rain is expected in Gangwon Yeongdong and Jeju Island.

In Seoul, Incheon, the West Coast of Gyeonggi, inland Gangwon, inland Daejeon, Sejong, Chungcheong, Daegu, Gyeongbuk, Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, showers of 5 to 40 mm are expected between afternoon and evening. Inland Gyeonggi and eastern parts of Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk are forecasted to receive 5 to 60 mm of showers.

Temperatures will temporarily drop in areas experiencing showers, but once the rain stops, temperatures will quickly rise again, making it hot, so health precautions should be taken. Many places, especially urban and coastal areas, will experience tropical nights.

However, in the Gangwon Yeongdong region, temperatures will drop due to the inflow of easterly winds, with daytime highs around 30 degrees Celsius, easing the heat. This area is expected to receive 50 to 120 mm of rain from the 6th to the 8th.

Strong winds and high waves are expected in the offshore areas of the West Sea and the eastern part of the South Sea, so vessels engaged in navigation or fishing should exercise caution. Wave heights will range from 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the offshore areas of the East Sea and South Sea, and from 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the offshore areas of the West Sea.
