Efforts to Establish a Pet-Friendly Community Atmosphere
Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Woo Seung-hee) held the 28th Thursday Dialogue with pet-related personnel at a cafe in Gunseo-myeon on the 3rd.
According to the county on the 6th, the dialogue was attended by Woo Seung-hee, Governor of Yeongam-gun, pet dog and cat owners, animal hospital directors, abandoned animal shelter managers, and pet caretakers, who discussed the current status of pets in Yeongam-gun and support projects.

Following this, the participants shared their experiences of living with pet dogs and cats, forming a consensus.
The attendees proposed to Governor Woo Seung-hee the installation and operation of pet playgrounds, support for vaccination costs, and an increase in adoption fees to Yeongam-gun.
Furthermore, they agreed in unison to strive to establish a community atmosphere that is friendly for living with pets.
Governor Woo Seung-hee said, “One of the major pillars of Yeongam, an ecological and healing city, is creating a culture where people and animals communicate and live healthily together,” adding, “We will carefully review your valuable opinions and find ways to reflect them in county administration.”
