[One Day Walk] From Digital Complex to Shopping Mall... Gasan Digital Complex Station

Today's walking course heads to Gasan Digital Complex Station. Near Gasan Digital Complex Station lies the Seoul Digital Industrial Complex. This area was formerly known as Guro Industrial Complex, but as the industrial structure changed, IT and digital companies along with startups have now settled here. The Seoul Digital Industrial Complex consists of Guro Digital Complex and Gasan Digital Complex. This area, home to many companies, is always lively and bustling. It is also close to Gimpo Airport, so when looking up at the sky, you can see passenger planes flying low as they take off or prepare to land.

The course starting from Exit 2 of Gasan Digital Complex Station heads to the Guro Industrial Complex Workers' Life Experience Center nearby. Also called "Geumcheon Suni's House," this place restores the small rooms where female workers of the Guro Industrial Complex lived from the 1960s to the early 1980s. At the experience center, visitors can directly see and experience their living conditions at the time and the history of the Guro Industrial Complex. The small rooms and household items are recreated to convey the lifestyle of that era, and explanations about the history of the Guro Industrial Complex are available.

The next destination is Garibong Market. Known as a Yanbian Street within Seoul, this area has many Chinese residents, and the market's food stalls and surrounding signboards exude a distinct Chinese atmosphere. Unique foods such as flower bread, twisted doughnuts, and Chinese cuisine are available. From Garibong Market, heading toward Digital Complex Five-way Intersection leads to Gasan Rodeo Street. Gasan Rodeo Street is good for shopping, featuring warehouse-style outlets and complex shopping malls.

Next, the route goes to the Export Bridge, the only overpass connecting the 2nd and 3rd complexes of the Gasan Digital Industrial Complex. The Gyeongbu Line railway passes between the 2nd and 3rd complexes, and the Export Bridge was constructed to prevent delays such as signal waiting caused by the railway when transporting industrial logistics.

Walking along the Export Bridge, just before reaching Cheolsan Bridge, if you enter the embankment path, you can walk along the Anyangcheon embankment. The Anyangcheon riverside is well developed with a waterfront ecosystem and walking trails, making it a pleasant place to walk. The embankment path is also famous as a cherry blossom spot in spring. Following the embankment path and then heading to Exit 5 of Gasan Digital Complex Station concludes today's course.
