MMORPG 'Zenonia' Marketing Expenses Reflected
Com2uS Holdings announced on the 3rd that it recorded sales of 32.3 billion KRW, an operating loss of 12.4 billion KRW, and a net loss of 16.5 billion KRW in the second quarter of this year.
Sales increased by 12% compared to the same period last year, but profitability indicators were weak due to marketing expenses related to the launch of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) 'Zenonia.'
In the second half of the year, the company plans to improve performance by implementing a large-scale content update and strengthening the growth system of Zenonia. This month, a large-scale update of 'Hall of Trials' will reignite domestic popularity, and from the first quarter of next year, global services will expand to Taiwan, Japan, and other regions. The new collectible role-playing game (RPG) 'Heirs of Light: Eclipse' and the '3rd Generation Raising' RPG 'Alchemist (tentative title)' are set to launch in the global market. 'Heirs of Light: Eclipse,' released this month in Canada and Indonesia, will expand its stage to all global regions next month. 'Alchemist (tentative title),' which combines the idle raising RPG trend with the fun of hack and slash, is also targeting the global market in the fourth quarter.
The blockchain mainnet XPLA is expanding its global influence. It plans to onboard various Web3 games from game developers well-versed in the blockchain field, such as 'Puzzle Monsters' and 'BPMG,' as well as games from the Com2uS Group.
