Service Management Training and Personal Information Handling Education for Social Service Agents Conducted Together with the Seoul Regional Military Manpower Administration Service Supervisors

District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung Emphasizes Service Management Serving Residents Alongside Social Service Agents

Eunpyeong-gu (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that it conducted the ‘Social Service Agent Service Management Officer Training’ on the 26th.

Social service agents are individuals who receive a supplementary service (Grade 4) classification in the military service examination and serve the public by performing alternative service at national institutions, local governments, public organizations, and social welfare facilities.

The training participants were service management officers responsible for social service agents working at Eunpyeong-gu Office and social welfare facilities under its jurisdiction.

In response to frequent social issues related to social service agents in other local governments recently, the district conducted not only service management training but also personal information handling education for the officers in charge of social service agents.

The training was conducted with the cooperation of the Seoul Regional Military Manpower Administration service supervisors, providing correct guidance on laws and regulations to the officers responsible for social service agents, ensuring thorough service management based on principles. If necessary, ‘on-site service management guidance and inspection’ will also be conducted targeting requesting departments and social welfare facilities.

Additionally, the training instructed that personal information handling tasks related to social service agents should, in principle, be excluded, and when necessary, de-identification measures should be applied to ensure compliance with regulations.

Previously, the district was selected as the only outstanding service management institution among Seoul’s autonomous districts in the ‘2022 Social Service Agent Service Institution Survey’ hosted by the Seoul Regional Military Manpower Administration.

Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, stated, “Service management of social service agents must be faithful to principles and rules according to laws and regulations. Through this training, we will ensure more thorough service management so that diligent social service agents serving residents do not suffer any disadvantages.”
