Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 31st that “to prepare for the 2024 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) early admissions, one-on-one admissions consulting will be conducted from the 14th to the 18th of next month,” and “students and parents who wish to receive consulting will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis.”
According to Nam-gu, the admissions consulting for the 2024 early admissions will be held for five days from the 14th to the 18th of next month at the Book Cafe on the first floor of Nam-gu Office.
The district plans to invite four teachers from the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education’s Career and Academic Support Team and the Korea Council for University Education to provide customized consulting, aiming to offer useful information to students and parents who are confused by the college admissions system reform.
Each consulting session will last about 30 minutes, during which students and parents can obtain information such as issue analysis by admission type and a roadmap to college acceptance through counseling.
Those who wish to participate in the admissions consulting can apply in advance via the Culture and Education Events app or Naver Form from the 1st to the 8th of next month.
The number of participants is limited to 80 on a first-come, first-served basis, and due to high interest in the admissions consulting, it may close early.
Additionally, the district will hold an admissions briefing session for the 2024 early admissions on the 28th of next month in the large conference room on the 8th floor of the district office.
Park Jung-seo, head of the Etoos Career and Academic Center and a former EBS essay instructor, will take the stage to discuss changes in the 2024 college admissions and analysis of the restructuring of student records.
Students and parents who wish to attend the admissions briefing can apply through the Culture and Education Events app between the 16th and 28th of next month.
A Nam-gu official stated, “In a situation where great confusion has arisen among students and parents due to the exclusion of killer questions from the CSAT, we expect a lot of interest in this admissions consulting and briefing session,” and added, “We will provide useful information to students and parents to help them achieve their college admission goals.”
