Gyeonggi-do International Education Institute signed an MOU with the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board in Canada for overseas training of elementary and secondary school teachers in the province.
The Gyeonggi-do International Education Institute is conducting an overseas training program in Canada for 60 elementary and secondary school teachers to cultivate English education experts with international competencies.
This overseas training, which runs until the 7th of next month, was organized to enhance the future English education capabilities of teachers who have completed domestic online and offline training.
The main training contents include, through educational cooperation with the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board in Canada, ▲observing classes at Canadian elementary and secondary schools ▲conference dialogues with Canadian teachers about curricula ▲practical lessons on topics such as Korean culture and history.
In particular, after the overseas training, participants will engage in sharing lessons, discovering cases of field application, and conducting a growth-sharing workshop in October.
Yu Hye-young, director of the Gyeonggi-do International Education Institute, emphasized at the MOU signing ceremony with the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board, "Enhancing teachers' global competencies and fostering student growth are connected through cross-border educational cooperation and communication," adding, "We will continue to provide training to strengthen future teacher competencies."
Meanwhile, this MOU with the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) in Canada was concluded during the overseas training period to promote international understanding through expanded exchange programs.
