What is the part-time job with the highest hourly wage? According to an analysis of data from the part-time job platform 'Albamon,' the top position is held by fitting models, followed by quick service jobs in second place. Notably, the average hourly wage for these jobs far exceeded 20,000 KRW, more than twice the national minimum wage.

On the 27th, Albamon announced these results after analyzing over 2.14 million big data records of hourly wages by industry and job type registered on its platform during the first half of this year (January to June).

The analysis revealed that the job with the highest hourly wage is fitting model, earning 25,573 KRW per hour. Following were quick service (23,033 KRW), narrator model (22,528 KRW), home visit and learning materials (20,863 KRW), and hair, beauty, and nail shops (19,810 KRW).

When classified by industry rather than job type, the field with the highest average hourly wage was education instructors, with an average hourly pay of 16,450 KRW. Next was the 'service' part-time job sector, with an average hourly wage of 13,470 KRW.

Following were driving and delivery (12,946 KRW), media (12,361 KRW), customer consultation, research, and sales (12,055 KRW), IT and technology (11,507 KRW), hospital, nursing, and research (11,413 KRW), and design (11,316 KRW).

On the other hand, the part-time job with the lowest hourly wage was convenience stores. The average hourly wage was 9,787 KRW, which is almost the same as the national minimum wage of 9,620 KRW per hour.

Other fields with relatively low average hourly wages included beauty and health stores (9,837 KRW), mold, injection, press, and finishing (9,842 KRW), semiconductor and electronic parts production (9,906 KRW), DVD, multi-room, and comic cafes (9,913 KRW), kids cafes (9,916 KRW), and study rooms, reading rooms, and goshiwons (9,922 KRW).

However, a high hourly wage does not necessarily translate into high overall earnings. For fitting models, although the hourly wage is twice the minimum wage, the working hours are typically short, around 2 to 3 hours. In contrast, convenience store and production part-time jobs often involve working the full legal working hours, and may include overtime when workload is heavy.
