Keimyung University Dongsan Medical Center has signed a business agreement with Siemens Healthineers to establish a patient-centered smart hospital based on digital healthcare.
The agreement ceremony was held with the attendance of Cho Chi-heum, Director of Dongsan Medical Center, Han Sung-wook, Director of Management Strategy, Ryu Seung-wan, Director of External Cooperation, along with representatives from Siemens Healthineers including CEO Lee Myung-gyun and Director Lee Hee-young. Both organizations promised to actively cooperate in various ways to ensure the successful establishment of the smart hospital project.

German company Siemens Healthineers has independently developed the healthcare big data platform teamplay and the latest artificial intelligence software AI-Rad Companion. Through imaging diagnostic programs applying deep learning-based algorithms, they assist precision medicine in the field of imaging diagnosis and lead digital medical trends.
This agreement is expected to give momentum to the diagnostic smartization plan, one of the main pillars of Keimyung University Dongsan Medical Center’s smart hospital project.
Director Cho Chi-heum of Dongsan Medical Center said, “We are very pleased to sign a business agreement with Siemens Healthineers, which plays a leading role in the medical technology industry. We hope that this agreement will serve as an opportunity for closer communication between the two organizations and achieve meaningful results in the smartization of imaging and diagnostic tests.”
Keimyung University Dongsan Medical Center is focusing on ‘a patient-centered emotional hospital using smart platforms and AI,’ concentrating on smartization of administration, wards, diagnostics, and logistics transportation.
