Garagwoosung 1st Apartment in Garak-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, built in 1986, will be reconstructed with a maximum of 26 floors and a total of 967 households.
On the 24th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the Urban Planning Committee Subcommittee approved the revised maintenance plan for the reconstruction of Garagwoosung 1st Apartment in the area of 96-1 Garak-dong, Songpa-gu.
This apartment complex is located between Songpa Station and Garak Market Station on Subway Line 8. It is an aging apartment complex consisting of 9 buildings and 838 households, completed in 1986.
According to this decision, Garagwoosung 1st Apartment will be built with a floor area ratio of up to 281.88%, a maximum of 26 floors, and a total of 967 households (including 92 public housing units).
A public pedestrian passage will be planned within the complex to secure pedestrian connectivity and openness for nearby residents, and a public parking lot will be created in an easily accessible location from the low-rise residential area within the complex, which is expected to greatly help alleviate parking difficulties in the nearby low-rise residential area.
A Seoul city official said, "With the approval of this maintenance plan, the Garagwoosung 1st Apartment reconstruction project is expected to gain momentum."
