The Display Industry Association to Hold 'K-Display Exhibition' on the 16th of Next Month

170 Companies, 580 Booths... Largest Scale Ever

The Korea Display Industry Association announced on the 24th that it will hold the 2nd 'K-Display Industry Exhibition' at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, from the 16th to the 18th of next month.

Marking its 22nd year this year, the Korea Display Industry Exhibition separated from the Korea Electronics Show (KES) in 2020, was co-hosted with the Korean Information Display Society (KIDS) for the IMID exhibition in 2021, and since 2022 has been held solely by the association under the new exhibition name 'K-Display,' making this the second year of the K-Display exhibition in its current form.

This year's exhibition, under the slogan "Let's Play! Display!" meaning to enjoy displays, will feature 170 companies with 580 booths, making it the largest scale ever. The number of overseas participating companies has also increased from 19 last year to 25 this year. Additionally, global partner organizations such as the Japan Semiconductor Equipment Association, the Global Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) Association, and the International Display Metrology Committee will be invited in large numbers to expand international exchange.

By operating experiential theme zones introducing three new market sectors?mobility, extended reality (XR), and signage?the exhibition will also propose new lifestyles brought by displays.

The theme zones consist of the Mobility Zone, where 1795 Eulmyo Royal Procession content is played through transparent OLEDs (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) installed on bus windows; the XR Zone, where visitors can directly experience rehabilitation therapy or equipment site management by wearing VR devices; and the Signage Zone, which introduces moving LED modules and large-scale ART LEDs.

During the exhibition, events such as ▲Corporate Business Strategy Presentations ▲Buyer Consultations ▲Display Business Forum ▲International Standardization Forum ▲Job Fair ▲Display Carbon Neutrality Seminar will be held simultaneously.

The Business Forum will include keynote speeches from LG Display and Samsung Display, and in connection with the current government's support policies for micro-LED and other emissive display technology development, it will be composed of six sessions presenting corporate business strategies and technology trends.

Lee Dong-wook, Vice Chairman of the Korea Display Industry Association, said, "Our display industry will do its best to introduce or launch new products at the K-Display exhibition so that K-Display can truly become a global exhibition."
