Puricare Objet Collection Water Purifier Voice Recognition
YouTube Content Surpasses 10 Million Views in 1 Month
"Water Purifier Sales in First Half Increase Over 20% Compared to Last Year"
LG Electronics announced on the 24th that the video introducing the voice recognition feature of the PuriCare Objet Collection water purifier surpassed 10 million views in about one month since its release.
The video is composed of four episodes: Vegan, Home Afternoon Tea, Ballerina, and a comprehensive edition. It conveyed the message of upgrading water usage capabilities through the voice recognition feature.
In the Vegan episode, a couple says, "Hi LG, give me 930ml of water" following the vegetable green curry recipe, and the PuriCare water purifier automatically dispenses the desired amount. In the Home Afternoon Tea episode, the video shows adjusting the water volume to 210ml for apple lime tea using only voice recognition.
LG Electronics first introduced the new water purifier model with voice recognition and customized dispensing functions in Korea in August last year. It allows users to set and dispense water volume in 10ml increments using voice commands alone. After calling "Hi LG!", customers can say "Give me 550ml of cold water" to adjust the water volume without pressing any buttons. LG Electronics stated that "water purifier sales in the first half of the year increased by more than 20% compared to the same period last year."

LG Electronics said that the voice recognition feature solves customer pain points of having to press buttons multiple times to adjust water volume and temperature. It enables easy use for customers who find it difficult to press the buttons on top of the water purifier, such as young children and people with disabilities.
The product also includes hygiene management features. The high-temperature sterilization function sterilizes the entire internal section of the water purifier through which water passes with hot water. It performs high-temperature sterilization once a week from the filter to the stainless steel direct water pipe. The water outlet can be additionally sterilized with high temperature whenever desired. It applies UV nano technology with ultraviolet light-emitting diodes (UV LEDs) that automatically sterilize periodically for 10 minutes every hour.
Yoon Sung-il, Executive Director of Kitchen Solution Marketing at LG Electronics Korea Sales Headquarters, said, "We will not only provide a differentiated customer experience with Korea’s first voice recognition-applied PuriCare water purifier but also enhance customer accessibility."
