Elon Musk announced plans to change the Twitter logo on the 23rd (local time).
On that day, Musk wrote on Twitter, "We will soon say goodbye to the Twitter brand, and gradually to all the birds (bird emblem)."
The current Twitter logo is a blue bird, and the word 'Twitter' itself means the chirping of birds.
Musk added, "If a sufficiently great X logo is posted tonight, it will be unveiled worldwide tomorrow," posting an image of a blinking letter X.
Earlier, Musk established a new company called 'X Corp' and merged the Twitter corporation into this company. This reflected Musk's vision of turning Twitter into a 'super app' offering a wide range of functions such as messaging, product payments, and remote vehicle hailing.
Meanwhile, Twitter recently faced issues regarding the payment of large severance packages due to mass layoffs.
After acquiring Twitter, Musk laid off more than half of the employees to reduce costs, and on the 18th, a lawsuit was filed demanding that Twitter pay at least $500 million (approximately 644.5 billion won) in severance to those laid-off workers.
