Starting with AI Tutor, Building an 'Educational AI App Store'

Ubion is showing strong performance. The news that it signed a business agreement with Naver Cloud to develop a hyper-personalized customized education service based on 'HyperCLOVA X' appears to be influencing its stock price.

As of 12:16 PM on the 21st, Ubion is trading at 2,070 KRW, up 25.3% from the previous day.

Ubion and Naver Cloud plan to create a more advanced AI-based education (AIED) environment by leveraging generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology and learning platform development capabilities through their collaboration. AIED refers to a new educational approach that applies AI technology to education to optimize individual learners' learning experiences and maximize educational effectiveness.

Ubion is an edutech company that was listed on the KOSDAQ market last year. Its flagship product, the COSMOS Learning Experience Platform (COURSEMOS LXP), supports the operation of education and training programs for companies, universities, and associations, and is used by over 150 universities and institutions.

Based on its collaboration with Naver Cloud, Ubion will introduce a new educational tool called the 'AI Tutor.' The 'AI Tutor' is based on Naver's large-scale AI HyperCLOVA X and offers various functions such as AI chat document translation and summarization, CLOVA Studio, and CLOVA Note. Ubion aims to create an innovative learning environment by linking it with its own COSMOS Learning Management System (LMS), Experience Management System (EMS), and Internet-Based Testing (IBT) system.

Starting with the AI Tutor, Ubion plans to build an 'AI Education App Store' to establish a platform-centered AIED ecosystem. The strategy is to add new AI solutions to the app store and create an AIED environment tailored to educational fields and methods needed by customers, ranging from K-12 to higher education, and from Human Resource Development (HRD) to lifelong learning.
