In October 2019, Heerim won a PMC service contract worth 27 billion KRW from Cambodia Airport Investment Corporation (CAIC). It competed in an international bidding process against world-renowned companies such as Atkins, Aecom, and F+P. Since then, it has been managing the project for 43 months until May of this year.

This additional contract is a result of recognition for its performance and efforts so far. Heerim signed an additional contract worth approximately 14 billion KRW with CAIC until October next year. The total contract amount is about 41 billion KRW. Currently, Phnom Penh New Airport is being constructed as an international airport capable of accommodating 10 million passengers annually on a site in the Kandal area, about 30 km away from the city center.

Previously, Heerim participated in all phases of the construction of Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 and 2, and carried out projects such as the establishment of basic plans for expansion and extension of Jeju International Airport facilities, and renovation of the international passenger terminal at Gimpo International Airport. It is also engaged in various airport projects overseas. These include the design of the passenger terminal at Long Thanh International Airport in Vietnam, master plans for Khabarovsk Airport and Irkutsk Air City in Russia, interior design of the new passenger terminal at Qingdao International Airport in China, and design of Mongomeyen International Airport in Equatorial Guinea, Africa.

A Heerim official said, "Based on our achievements and experience so far, we will successfully complete the ongoing project," adding, "We will strive to successfully open Phnom Penh New Airport, further elevate the status of Korean airport architecture, and contribute significantly to national interests through joint overseas expansion with domestic companies."
