LG Electronics Vehicle Display Wins Top Prize at 'Energy Winner of the Year' Awards

Received 9 Main Awards, Achieving the Most Awards for 7 Consecutive Years

LG Electronics has been recognized for its top-level energy technology across home appliances and automotive components. On the 20th, LG Electronics announced that it received a total of nine main awards at the '26th Energy Winner Awards of the Year,' hosted by the Consumer Citizens' Organization and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Environment, and the Korea Energy Agency, setting a record for the most awards for seven consecutive years.

The Energy Winner Awards of the Year are divided into two categories: 'Energy Winner,' given to technologies or products with excellent energy efficiency and savings effects, and 'Carbon Neutral Winner,' awarded for low-carbon products or carbon-neutral activities aimed at practicing carbon neutrality. This year, LG Electronics received both the Energy Grand Prize and the Carbon Neutral Grand Prize, recognizing its differentiated energy efficiency and advanced technology that considers the environment.

LG Electronics' automotive display received both the Carbon Neutral Grand Prize and the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award, earning the highest honor. The automotive display is a core component of the infotainment system, a flagship product of LG Electronics' Vehicle Component Solutions (VS) Business Division. The two-in-one integrated display, composed of elegant curved shapes, reduced carbon emissions by about 25% compared to previous models through cold glass molding technology.

LG Electronics' '2030 Carbon Neutral Strategy,' which considers environmental impacts from product planning stages through manufacturing, usage, and disposal, received the Carbon Neutral Winner Award. LG Electronics has declared a carbon neutrality goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2030. The company is also implementing strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through efforts such as reducing emissions at partner companies and developing high-efficiency products.

The LG DIOS Objet Collection top refrigerator and bottom freezer refrigerator (representative model name: M874AAA0M1), which received the Energy Grand Prize, improved energy efficiency by 23% compared to the existing lowest standard of Grade 1. It reduced energy consumption by improving cycle efficiency and features differentiated refrigeration and freezing performance with 24-hour automatic temperature control technology and Door Cooling Plus (+) function.

The LG UltraGear OLED gaming monitor (model name: 45GR95QE), which received the Energy Technology Award, applied low-power technology to reduce power consumption per unit area by about 21% compared to LG Electronics' 40-inch LCD products. The LG Whisen System Air Conditioner Multi V Eye (representative model name: RPUW242X9E), equipped with a high-performance artificial intelligence (AI) engine, also received the Energy Technology Award.

Additionally, the DIOS Objet Collection French door refrigerator (model name: S834MC35E), equipped with a smart inverter, won the Energy Saving Award. The Whisen Objet Collection tower air conditioner (representative model name: FQ18SDNBE2), Whisen Objet Collection dehumidifier (model name: DQ163PECA), and Tromm Objet Collection Wash Tower (representative model name: WL21WDU) received the Energy Winner Award.
