Targeting the MZ Generation... Strengthening Mobile Food Media Business
Oasis Alpha announced on the 20th that it will embark on a full-scale move to leap forward as a ‘food media commerce company’ ahead of its first anniversary. Oasis Alpha is a joint venture between the dawn delivery specialist Oasis and KT Alpha.
Targeting the MZ generation, who are the main consumers of new media content and whose influence in the consumer market is increasing, Oasis Alpha plans to expand its partnership platforms from the second half of this year while strengthening product competitiveness and content.
First, Oasis Alpha will launch its official company mall on the 26th. At the official mall, users can access KT Alpha shopping broadcasts and Oasis Market’s mobile live broadcasts in one place. Various HMR (Home Meal Replacement), salads, lunch boxes, and popular products from famous restaurants will be available. Additionally, Oasis Alpha will enter LG HelloVision’s regional channel commerce ‘Jecheoljangteo’ to sell locally co-developed products with LG HelloVision, and will conduct mobile live broadcasts on the ‘Oasis Alpha’ tab page within the Hana Pay app.
The company will also foster regional win-win brands such as Jeju to differentiate its products. To this end, from the 21st for three days, at the ‘Rural Convergence Industry Jeju International Expo - PupaFe Jeju,’ Oasis Alpha will provide sales channel expansion support consulting for participating companies and conduct on-site mobile live commerce for excellent partners. The live commerce broadcasts will be available through KT Alpha Shopping and Oasis Market’s mobile apps (21st?22nd), and LG HelloVision’s ‘Jecheoljangteo’ (22nd).
In line with the expansion of the food media business, the mobile live program will also be revamped. Starting next month, Oasis Alpha’s mobile live broadcast ‘All Market’ will transform into a food-specialized program introducing everything from famous restaurant products to popular local specialties. Furthermore, the company plans to develop influencer-linked products and actively communicate with customers through social media.
Choi Yoo-sung, CEO of Oasis Alpha, said, “To secure Oasis Alpha’s unique competitiveness in the rapidly changing commerce market, it is necessary to go beyond simple delivery differentiation and make changes and organic expansions suitable for live commerce, including platform, products, and content.” He added, “We will actively utilize food-related media and content, from healthy food to entertaining food content, to become a ‘delicious’ food media commerce company.”
