Mr. A, who rents out an officetel in Busan, shared shocking photos of the house that the female tenant in her 20s left in a trash-filled state and fled from, saying on the online community BobaeDream on the 18th, "I recently received a report that there was a corpse smell."

Mr. A said, "When I entered the house, the female tenant in her 20s had run away, and there was waste everywhere, with her repeatedly relieving herself in places other than the toilet," adding, "Those with weak stomachs should not look," and posted photos of the bathroom as well.

As Mr. A described, not only was the house in a terrible state, but the bathroom toilet was also filled with waste. Mr. A lamented, "I hesitated several times whether it was okay to post such photos, worrying that viewers might be disgusted. But if you don't see it, you won't know. This is something that should be on the 9 o'clock news. It's nothing short of terrorism."

Meanwhile, if a tenant leaves the house in a mess and flees, it is legally considered a 'unilateral termination of contract,' and the landlord can file a lawsuit for damages. The landlord can use the deposit to cover restoration costs and return the remainder to the tenant. If the restoration costs exceed the deposit, the landlord can file an additional lawsuit for damages.
