Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon met the so-called 'Line 6 Youth,' who became a topic of conversation after cleaning up another passenger's vomit on the Subway Line 6 train. Mayor Oh had a meaningful time encouraging and conversing with Kim Mo (20), a young man in his twenties.

On the 16th, Mayor Oh posted on his social network service (SNS), “I met a beautiful young man,” and stated, “I encouraged the young man who personally cleaned up someone else's vomit on the Line 6 train a few days ago.”

He added, “I was deeply moved by the young man's humble confession that he did it simply because he could.”

Kim Mo boarded the Line 6 train at Yeonsinnae Station at around 10:36 p.m. on the 7th and was heading to Hapjeong Station when he found vomit on the train seat left by another person and personally cleaned it up. He also guided passengers who intended to sit there to other seats.

At the same time, another passenger on the train filmed Kim’s actions and posted on SNS, “It was touching to see this young man appear and diligently clean up even though it wasn’t his vomit.” The video gained attention on SNS and various online communities. As Kim’s good deed became known, Seoul Metro expressed gratitude by presenting him with a certificate of appreciation and souvenirs.

During a conversation with Baek Ho, President of Seoul Metro, Kim said, “I didn’t think of it as a good deed but acted according to my values of responsibility and conscience,” adding, “I just had wet wipes in my bag, so I thought I was the person who could clean it up. I was only worried that others might be inconvenienced.”
