A man in his 50s who was driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs on Seoul Olympic-daero was arrested in the act and sent to the prosecution.

According to the police on the 16th, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul sent Mr. Kim, a man in his 50s who was arrested in the act while driving in a heavily intoxicated state after inhaling marijuana, to the prosecution earlier this month.

Mr. Kim is accused of drinking alcohol and inhaling and possessing marijuana while driving on Seoul Olympic-daero towards Gimpo around midnight on the 28th of last month.

At the time, the police responded to a witness report of "a car suspected of drunk driving" and found the vehicle driven by Mr. Kim at the scene.

Mr. Kim did not comply with the police's request to stop, and only after two patrol cars blocked the escape route did he stop the car and submit to a breathalyzer test. The test results confirmed that Mr. Kim's blood alcohol concentration was at a license cancellation level (0.08% or higher).

While checking Mr. Kim's condition, the police also found marijuana inside the car and applied related charges.
