Content platform company RIDI announced on the 13th that it will jointly develop a drama based on the popular web novel Man Gaeui Deungeul Neoege Bachinda (Ten Thousand Backs Dedicated to You).
The web novel Man Gaeui Deungeul Neoege Bachinda is an oriental romance fantasy that depicts palace intrigue and love unfolding when the deceased husband, Baek Young, appears before Crown Princess Yeonhye. With its fresh setting and immersive narrative, the web novel was recognized for both its artistic quality and commercial success upon serialization.
The drama adaptation of Man Gaeui Deungeul Neoege Bachinda will be jointly developed by RIDI and the production company WeMade. WeMade is the producer of the historical romance drama Otsomae Bulgeun Kkeutdong (The Red Sleeve Cuff), which sparked a craze, and the KBS drama Gaseumi Ttwinda (My Heart is Beating), which has been airing since June.
A RIDI representative stated, “The dramatization of the web novel Man Gaeui Deungeul Neoege Bachinda is significant as it is a work for which RIDI is directly developing video content. We plan to expand comprehensive collaboration to produce premium content utilizing RIDI’s IP in the future.”
