Choi Jin-sil's Daughter: "Grandmother Who Acts Differently Front and Back, It's Creepy and Scary"

Choi Jun-hee, the daughter of the late Choi Jin-sil, reported her maternal grandmother, Jeong, to the police for trespassing, and on the 11th, Choi posted a lengthy message on social media.

In the Instagram post that day, Choi stated, "Being continuously subjected to verbal abuse and physical violence by my grandmother while I was a minor remains an indelible wound," and added, "I was always stigmatized as a disobedient child by my grandmother, but whenever arguments arose, I was told that my very existence was a problem, faced with harsh verbal abuse and false testimonies, living with a guardian who was not honorable."

She continued, "While suffering severely from lupus, there were verbal abuses and physical assaults from my grandmother, and my body was so painful and weak from skin rashes that I struggled and pushed her away," and said, "My grandmother called the police, and although I was investigated at a young age, the adults did not listen to me."

Choi said, "Although it is not my brother's fault, living with parents who have a preference for sons is very difficult," and added, "In such a life, having lost many things, now as an adult, I had to protect my actual assets."

She also emphasized, "I am writing this with the mindset of protecting myself," and stated, "I am no longer the 15-year-old Choi Jun-hee, and before being Choi Jin-sil's daughter, as a person living in the Republic of Korea, I will hold my grandmother legally responsible for all the things she did when I was a minor." She also criticized, "It is not the people who criticize me but my grandmother, who is two-faced, who is more creepy and frightening."

Earlier, on the 9th, Choi reported Jeong to the police for trespassing. Jeong is accused of visiting an apartment in Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, registered under Choi's name on the 7th, and staying there for two days without Choi's consent.

At the time, Jeong reportedly told the police that she was doing housework and resting at the request of her grandson, Choi Hwan-hee, and encountered Choi coming home late at night with her boyfriend.

In response, Choi denied, saying, "The claim that I went to hang out with my boyfriend in a house without my biological brother is a lie," and added, "I went in alone and, unable to endure my grandmother's verbal abuse, called the police and my boyfriend." Choi also posted photos from the apartment's elevator CCTV on Instagram.

The photos show Choi going in and out of the apartment alone at different times, as well as entering the house with two police officers and her boyfriend.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time Choi and Jeong have had conflicts. Previously, in August 2017, Choi posted on social media that she had suffered physical and verbal abuse from Jeong, which led to depression and even impulses toward extreme choices.
