Naju City in Jeollanam-do carried out the regular personnel appointments for the second half of 2023, effective July 12.
According to the city on the 7th, a total of 74 promotions and transfers for team leader level and above were made the previous day, including 2 promotions to grade 5, 4 approvals for grade 5 promotion, 12 to grade 6, 27 to grade 7, and 29 to grade 8.
This promotion was boldly made by prioritizing the ranking on the promotion candidate list and the work performance, which is the personnel principle of the 8th elected administration.
In particular, employees who made outstanding contributions to city development through work performance such as COVID-19 response and childbirth encouragement policies during the 8th elected administration were promoted, focusing on motivating the creation of work performance.
To establish a work-family balance culture in the public service community, careful consideration was given to those on childbirth and childcare leave to ensure no disadvantages due to childbirth and childcare.
The approvals for grade 5 promotion include a total of 4 people: 2 administrative staff (Choi Yo-nim, Yoo Seol-hee), 1 civil engineering staff (Noh Sang-su), and 1 medical technology staff (Song Nae-ok).
Choi Yo-nim, acting head of Geumcheon-myeon, was recognized for her achievements as audit team leader, including auditing social welfare facilities and supporting various higher-level institution audits, especially for discovering and promoting policies to improve integrity in the public service community.
Yoo Seol-hee, acting head of Ichang-dong and former job policy team leader, was evaluated as having achieved balanced results in the job sector, the final destination of the 8th elected administration’s policies, including winning the Excellence Award in the 2023 National Job Awards public announcement category and promoting region-led youth job projects.
Noh Sang-su, acting head of Dasi-myeon and former civil engineering team leader, contributed to the selection of major national projects such as passing the preliminary feasibility study for Naju’s first national industrial complex, the 300 billion KRW Energy National Industrial Complex, and the selection of the 1.5 trillion KRW Gwangju-Naju metropolitan railroad project as a feasibility study target project.
Song Nae-ok, acting head of the Health Promotion Division and former health administration team leader, contributed to the development of the health administration field by securing a 5 billion KRW green remodeling project for 12 health institutions, expanding separate buildings for health centers, constructing the Donggangdaejeon Health Clinic, and designating institutions for face-to-face and respiratory treatment for COVID-19.
Transfers for team leader level and above were minimized to maintain administrative continuity, but personnel appointments were made actively reflecting individual employees’ will and capabilities, as well as opinions from department and section heads, such as appointing a rural guidance staff member as the tourism marketing team leader.
Mayor Yoon Byung-tae said, “This regular personnel appointment for the second half of the year comprehensively evaluated work performance, capabilities, and willingness to work,” adding, “We will continue to carry out personnel appointments that the public service community and citizens can agree with, based on principles of performance, capability, fairness, and integrity.”
