Kim I-geun, Chairman of Changwon City Council, "Making Society Clear and Refreshing with Soda Water Campaign"

Kim I-geun, Chairman of the Changwon Special City Council in Gyeongnam, participated in the ‘Sodasu’ donation campaign using a QR code, the city council announced on the 4th.

Sodasu means ‘small donations from many people,’ and it was promoted with the intention of making society clear and refreshing through the interest and warmth of many people, even if the amounts are small.

Anyone with a mobile phone can easily participate through a dedicated QR code and recommend donations to family, friends, and acquaintances.

The campaign will run a focused fundraising period until October, and donors can also receive year-end tax deduction benefits for their contributions.

The collected donations will be used for living expenses and fuel costs for vulnerable groups such as low-income, single-parent, and multicultural families.

Appointed by Mayor Hong Nam-pyo, Chairman Kim, who took the lead in the Sodasu campaign, recommended Council Operations Committee Chairman Gu Jeom-deuk and Economic Welfare and Women’s Committee Chairwoman Park Seon-ae as the next participants.

He said, “I hope that small kindnesses will come together to spread into great sharing,” and added, “I hope many people will participate in the easy and convenient Sodasu donation.”
