Park Won-seok "Choo Mi-ae's Impeachment of Roh Moo-hyun Was Not a Coincidence... Engaged in Bully Politics"

Former Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae revealed that former President Moon Jae-in pressured her to resign, and Park Won-seok, former Policy Committee Chair of the Justice Party, criticized it as "bully politics."

On the 4th, Park, the former Policy Committee Chair, said on CBS's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show,' "It is no coincidence that she (former Minister Choo) impeached former President Roh Moo-hyun. I think she is that kind of person."

Last month, former Minister Choo disclosed on OhmyTV that former President Moon pressured her to resign. Lawyer Jung Cheol-seung, who mainly operates in the opposition camp, also said on social media (SNS) that "former Minister Choo said 'former President Moon is an opportunist,'" but former Minister Choo clarified on KBS radio, "I cannot openly say that."

Regarding former Minister Choo's revelation, former Policy Committee Chair Park said, "If she wants to resume her political career, she must shed the burden hanging over her?that she is the top contributor to the birth of the Yoon administration?and shift the responsibility to someone else. She shifted the blame to former President Moon and the Blue House at that time." He added, "No matter how hurt she is or how much she wants to shift responsibility now to justify herself, calling the president she served until recently an opportunist is, though I hesitate to use this term, bully politics."

He pointed out that there was no problem with former President Moon's request for resignation. Former Policy Committee Chair Park said, "(Regarding the Choo-Yoon conflict) At that time, the Prosecutor General, who was one of the parties in the conflict, had a term, and Yoon Seok-yeol was not someone who would step down easily." He continued, "To resolve that situation, there was a party request, and if the president wanted the minister to submit a letter of resignation, it follows the appointing authority's will. It is not a matter to be negotiated or require the consent of the person involved."

He then pointedly asked, "Then does she bear no responsibility as someone who served as the ruling party's leader and even as a minister? Can she now shift all the responsibility for stirring up the Choo-Yoon conflict, creating noise, and nurturing Yoon Seok-yeol by blaming the president for being opportunistic?"
