Three people, two men and one woman, who were playing in a valley in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province, fell into the water, resulting in the death of one man.
According to the police and fire authorities on the 2nd, around 2 p.m. on the 1st, two men in their 30s and one woman in her 30s fell into the valley water in Jeokmok-ri, Buk-myeon, Gapyeong-gun.
Two of them were not in life-threatening condition, but the man in his 30s, Mr. A, was in critical condition with no heartbeat. The 119 emergency responders performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation and airlifted Mr. A to the hospital by helicopter, but he eventually passed away.
The other two, who were transported to the hospital by ambulance, are reported to be receiving treatment.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances based on witness statements, as it is believed that when one of the three people fell into the water, the others tried to rescue him, leading to the accident.
