Yongsan-gu, 2023 Manifesto Practice Education Special Lecture

Yongsan-gu (Mayor Park Hee-young) held a special lecture titled ‘2023 Manifesto Practice Education’ on the 28th of last month for over 100 public officials responsible for pledge projects in the 8th local government term.


In the 8th local government term, Yongsan-gu confirmed 91 pledge projects across 7 sectors under the theme ‘New Change, Happy Yongsan.’ The administration is focusing its capabilities on implementing five core pledges aimed at economic development, housing, tourism and culture, daily life, and educational innovation.


The special lecture was organized to enhance understanding of the pledge projects promised by Mayor Park Hee-young to the residents and to ensure their successful implementation.


Lee Kwang-jae, Secretary General of the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters, who was invited as the lecturer, shared various insights including practical methods to increase pledge fulfillment rates and future policies to develop a more advanced Yongsan.


He particularly emphasized the importance of specifying pledge projects for their successful implementation and the critical role of public officials.


Mayor Park Hee-young of Yongsan-gu stated, “This special lecture was arranged to support the successful fulfillment of pledge projects in the 8th local government term. I ask everyone to do their best in their respective positions for the new changes promised to the residents of Yongsan.”


The district is accelerating the progress of pledge projects with 15 in economy, 9 in housing, 11 in education, 13 in welfare, 11 in culture and tourism, 17 in transportation, and 15 in safety and environment, regularly checking and managing their progress.


Additionally, the district plans to continuously enhance transparency in the pledge implementation process by posting the status of pledge projects in easy-to-understand infographics and card news formats on the district office website’s ‘Open Mayor’s Office’ section.
