25 Gaya Middle School Students Tour the Main Assembly Hall and Council Members' Offices

The Gimhae City Council in Gyeongnam invited 25 students from Gaya Middle School on the 28th to participate in a council tour program.

According to the city council, the council tour was organized as a career experience activity linked to the middle school free semester system to enhance understanding of local autonomy and provide broad opportunities for career exploration.

Council members Kim Jin-gyu, Kim Young-seo, and Heo Su-jeong, who represent the district where Gaya Middle School is located, participated to assist with the experience.

The students toured the council's third-floor main assembly hall, conference rooms, and members' offices while receiving explanations about the functions and roles of local councils and major council tasks.

They learned from the attending district council members about the roles of each standing committee and council members' duties.

Chairman Ryu Myung-yeol said, "I hope the students grow into mature democratic citizens who will lead the future of Gimhae City through this council tour."

Following this middle school council tour, the city council plans to hold the 2023 Elementary Council Classroom for 4th to 6th-grade elementary students on July 26.
