Dongdaemun-gu to Hold June Special Lecture on Academic Advancement for Parents

On the 24th, a Parent Career Lecture on ‘High School Credit System and High School Selection’ Held for Middle School Parents

Over 100 Middle School Parents Attended... Lecture Video to be Released on Dongdaemun Education Support Center Website and YouTube Channel

Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) held a parent career lecture titled ‘High School Credit System and High School Selection’ on the 24th at the second conference room in the basement level 1 of the district office for parents of middle school students preparing to enter high school.

This lecture was organized to provide practical information on the high school curriculum centered on the high school credit system, subject selection, and high school choice strategies for parents whose children are about to enter high school.

The lecture was conducted in two parts face-to-face: Part 1 covered ‘High School Credit System and Elective Subjects,’ and Part 2 addressed ‘Successful High School Selection and Preparation Aligned with My Career Path.’

In particular, the lecture was delivered by an active career guidance teacher, offering various know-how and high school admission preparation methods that can only be experienced in the educational field, which received positive responses from attending parents.

Over 100 middle school parents attended the lecture, followed by a Q&A session with the instructor.

The Dongdaemun Education Support Center plans to produce a video of the lecture and release it on the Dongdaemun Education Support Center website and YouTube channel for parents who could not attend.

Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “This lecture was prepared to provide accurate information about the curriculum so that parents with middle school children preparing for high school can prepare for college entrance from a long-term perspective. We will continue to strive to improve the quality of education and support various programs based on public education so that students and parents in the district do not face difficulties in education.”
