Jeju Air announced on the 26th that it will increase flights on major international routes during the peak summer season in July and August to enhance travel convenience and expand market share.
Jeju Air will operate a total of 760 additional flights on popular routes such as Japan, Southeast Asia, and Oceania during the peak summer season in July and August. In particular, due to the recent historic low value of the Japanese yen reducing travel expenses, the number of travelers visiting Japan has increased, leading to an additional 168 flights on Japan routes alone.
Looking at the increase by route: ▲ Incheon~Sapporo from 120 to 186 flights ▲ Incheon~Fukuoka from 300 to 310 flights ▲ Incheon~Tokyo (Narita) from 326 to 336 flights ▲ Busan~Tokyo (Narita) from 78 to 86 flights.
Starting July 13, Jeju Air will launch a new route, its third Japanese regional city route and a sole operation, Incheon~Hiroshima, with a schedule of three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday).
Additional flights will also be added to Southeast Asian routes, traditional summer vacation destinations. ▲ Incheon~Nha Trang from 60 to 122 flights ▲ Incheon~Chiang Mai from 60 to 102 flights, expanding a total of 142 flights.
Furthermore, from July 20, the Incheon~Yantai route will resume operations with a daily schedule (7 times a week). The Incheon~Guam route, which was temporarily suspended due to a typhoon, will also resume from July 1, operating a total of 124 flights during the peak season.
Meanwhile, Jeju Air will also increase flights and launch new services on the Mongolia route secured through the regular traffic rights allocation in May. From July 10, the Incheon~Ulaanbaatar route, previously operated 4 times a week, will be increased to 5 times a week.
