Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced that it is recruiting 50 young trainees to participate in the ‘ICT Industry-based Professional Talent Development Program,’ which aims to nurture key personnel to lead innovation in the ICT field centered around Munjeong Business Valley.
The ‘ICT Industry-based Professional Talent Development Program’ is a project initiated by the district since 2018 to expand youth employment opportunities locally. It targets young job seekers aged 20 to 39 and provides customized practical training required in the ICT field along with employment linkage.
In April, the district recruited a commissioned operating institution for the training program and began recruiting young trainees. Especially this year, in response to the increasing industrial demand in the ICT sector, the program has been expanded to include three courses: ▲ ‘ICT-based E-commerce Seller Training Course’ ▲ ‘Python-based Data Analysis Practical Course’ ▲ ‘Cybersecurity Professional Training Course.’
The ‘ICT-based E-commerce Seller Training Course’ was prepared through an agreement with the Seoul Northeast Business Development Association (Chairman Oh Tae-gil) to reflect changing employment trends due to the rapid growth of the e-commerce market and the emergence of multi-job holders (N-jobbers).
The training covers practical topics such as opening a Smart Store, SNS marketing, product registration methods, customer management, and sales strategies, and includes sales practice to enhance real-world adaptability.
Additionally, the district plans to actively support ‘low-capital, low-risk solo startups’ so that young people can accumulate small successes and engage in active economic activities.
For those aspiring to work in data-related jobs, the ‘Python-based Data Analysis Practical Course’ is worth noting. In response to the rapid industrial structural changes following the COVID-19 pandemic and digital transformation, the district has prepared a course to nurture talent capable of collecting and analyzing data and providing insights to companies.
The district has signed an agreement with the Songpa Women’s Human Resources Development Center (Director Yoo Geun-su) and plans to conduct training aimed at enhancing data analysis skills through Python programming, improving information gathering through crawling technology, and applying automation technology in practical work.
The ‘Cybersecurity Professional Training Course’ is offered in partnership with the Korea Information Security Industry Association (Chairman Lee Dong-beom) to expand youth employment opportunities in the cybersecurity industry sector.
The detailed curriculum includes system security, system vulnerability diagnosis and analysis practice, web structure, and ethical hacking to improve field adaptability. Company visits and consultations with practitioners will also be conducted.
Furthermore, the district plans to actively support the transition from training completion to employment by hosting job fairs specialized in the information security industry, providing employment mentoring, and linking with corporate internship programs.
Youth interested in the training can refer to the recruitment guidelines for each course on the Songpa-gu Office website’s notice section. ▲ The ‘ICT-based E-commerce Seller Training Course’ is open to youth aged 20 to 39 until the 26th ▲ The ‘Python-based Data Analysis Practical Course’ is open to ages 20 to 39 until the 27th ▲ The ‘Cybersecurity Professional Training Course’ is open to youth aged 20 to 34 until July 9. For more details, contact the Songpa-gu Office Economic Promotion Division.
Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, stated, “We will do our best to establish a field-customized ICT professional talent development system to improve young people’s job skills and ultimately solve local employment issues.”
