Production of the '1-Person Life Happiness Dictionary' with Gwanak-gu

Enhanced accessibility to support information for single-person households through simultaneous offline and online distribution

Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) has produced and distributed the ‘1-Person Life Happiness Dictionary with Gwanak-gu,’ containing various information to support the stable life of single-person households.

Starting with an introduction to the ‘Gwanak-gu 1-Person Household Support Center,’ the ‘1-Person Life Happiness Dictionary’ is a 37-page publication covering information in four areas: ▲Housing & Jobs ▲Safety ▲Health & Care ▲Social Networks.

The ‘Housing & Jobs’ section includes content such as customized rental housing, Gwanak-gu Job Center, safety inspections for disaster-vulnerable elderly living alone, residential convenience for disabled single-person households, the Happiness Companion Project, and the Jeonwolse (monthly rent) Safe Contract Assistance Service.

The ‘Safety’ section introduces the selective surveillance system, CCTV LED signboards, safe alleys, and a safety network for female single-person households. The ‘Health & Care’ section includes the Care SOS Center, mental health support for youth aged 20-30, and customized elderly care services, introducing various projects that help single-person households live with peace of mind.

The ‘Social Networks’ section introduces spaces and projects such as the Gwanak Youth Cultural Space Sillim-dong Three Room, Gwanak Youth Center, and public-private cooperation projects to prevent solitary deaths, providing opportunities for single-person households to escape isolation and build social networks.

Additionally, at the end of the booklet, the ‘Gwanak 1-Person Life Tips’ section includes essential information for daily life such as ▲major facilities in Gwanak-gu ▲related institution websites ▲welfare consultation phone numbers.

The ‘1-Person Life Happiness Dictionary’ is available at community service centers, the Gwanak-gu 1-Person Household Support Center, local welfare institutions, and online on the Gwanak-gu Office website.

The district has established the ‘2023 Gwanak-gu Single-Person Household Support Project Plan,’ investing a total of 13.4 billion KRW in 39 projects, and is continuously making efforts to accompany single-person households happily.
