Guro-gu Opens 3 Water Playgrounds at Anyangcheon and Park Water Playgrounds

Anyangcheon Water Playground Opens on July 1... Opening Ceremony on July 8 ‘Free for Everyone’

Deokui, Cheonwang Neighborhood Parks, and Solgil Children's Park Water Playgrounds Operate from July 18 to August 20



‘Anyangcheon Water Playground,’ a representative attraction of Guro-gu and a safe and pleasant urban summer retreat, will open on July 1.


Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) announced on the 23rd that the Anyangcheon Water Playground will be operated free of charge from July 1 to August 31.


The opening ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on July 8.


The Anyangcheon Water Playground consists of various pools with different depths of 0.2m, 0.4m, 0.6m, and 0.75m, water play fountains, and a fountain tunnel. For visitors’ convenience, shade tents, outdoor showers, and changing rooms will be available.


Additionally, food trucks will operate within the water playground to offer visitors a variety of food options.


Operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Each hour includes 50 minutes of operation followed by a 10-minute break, and daily from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., the water playground will be temporarily closed for maintenance and rest.

During the peak season from July 28 to August 6, operating hours will be extended by one hour until 7 p.m.


The district will operate a comprehensive control center to respond to various accidents and emergencies according to the water playground safety management plan to prevent safety incidents. Pre-education such as CPR will be provided to safety and facility management personnel.


In addition, on July 18, three water playgrounds will open at ▲Deokui Neighborhood Park (339-4 Gocheok-dong) ▲Cheonwang Neighborhood Park (242-1 Cheonwang-dong) ▲Solgil Children's Park (391-1 Guro-dong).


The operating hours for the three park water playgrounds are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with 50 minutes of operation followed by a 10-minute break each hour. Daily from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. is reserved for maintenance and rest. They are closed every Monday and do not operate during rainy weather.


Children aged 3 to 13 can use the playgrounds free of charge, but children under 7 must be accompanied by a guardian.

A Guro-gu official said, “We will devote much attention and effort to ensure that all residents can use the water playgrounds safely and conveniently,” adding, “We hope families enjoy a cool summer together at nearby water playgrounds.”
