The first place was awarded to the AICT team (Lee Subin and two others) for their data analysis on blood (Liquid) signature analysis and cancer disease prediction models, as well as behavioral characteristics of the general public and cancer patients using life log data. The second place went to the Etiverse Learning team (Ha Sunho) for their data analysis targeting colorectal cancer patients using life log data. At the awards ceremony, Cha Sundo, President of the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, presented certificates and prize money to each winner.
The Helbig Show analysis challenge was promoted as part of the Helbig Show operation project funded by the National Institute of Health under the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency. The Helbig Show operation project aims to discover use cases and support data disclosure and utilization based on data from a total of 400 individuals. Going forward, based on the disclosed data and use cases, it is expected to establish a foundation for research on new technologies such as artificial intelligence, IoT, and de-identification, and to enable various research and development necessary for business model development in academia, research institutes, and industry by utilizing the collected omics data.
Kim Hyungyong, Director of Insilicogen, who managed the entire process including planning, online promotion, participant recruitment, competition progress, and evaluation of the Helbig Show analysis challenge, said, “I hope the Healthcare Big Data Showcase project and the Helbig Show analysis challenge will be a starting point contributing to the healthy lives of the public.”
