Dong-Eui Institute of Technology was recently selected as the ‘Best Project Group’ for the fifth consecutive year in the BB21+ (Brain Busan 21+) project promoted by Busan City.

Since 2002, Busan City has been promoting the BB21 project to enhance the competitiveness of local universities by fostering research personnel and strengthening academic capabilities. Since 2018, the project name has been changed to BB21+, supporting university development through collaboration with local businesses, organizations, and institutions in the Busan area.

As of the 5th year, 21 project groups are currently participating in this project.

Dong-Eui Institute of Technology was newly selected in 2018 in the BB21+ Job Competency-Based Type B category and operates the ‘Eco-friendly Vehicle Human Resources Development Project Group.’ The main goal of the project group is to cultivate specialized personnel for eco-friendly vehicles in response to the paradigm shift in the automotive industry.

In the recent 5th-year evaluation, the project group achieved excellent results in all indicators among all project groups, including talent development, employment rate, research capabilities, local community, and linked project group management, becoming the first project group to be selected as the best project group for five consecutive years.

The project group has made significant progress in employment in students’ major fields, producing 56 employed graduates over five years of project execution, including 30 employed within the local area.

Project Group Leader Kim Man-ho said, “Thanks to the efforts of the students participating in the project, we have been awarded for five consecutive years,” and added, “I would like to express my gratitude to Busan City and the Busan Talent Lifelong Education Promotion Agency staff who have led the six-stage BB21+ project over the past five years.”
