Mokpo National University Jeonnam Regional Economic Education Center Operates Economic Class for Gangjin Regional Self-Support Center

The Jeonnam Regional Economic Education Center at Mokpo National University (President Song Ha-cheol) announced on the 21st that it conducted the visiting "Smart Economic Classroom" program for participants of the Gangjin Regional Self-Support Center over two days on the 19th and 20th.

The visiting economic classroom program has been educating participants of the Jeonnam Regional Self-Support Center for a long time, resulting in a high level of understanding of the participants. Since the instructors meet the participants every year, there is a strong sense of familiarity, leading to high satisfaction with the education. Since 2017, it has been held as a joint project with the Jeonnam Metropolitan Self-Support Center (Director Kim Sam-yong).


The 2023 education topics included △The joy of using well and long △The joy of saving △The taste of household management △Understanding market economy and everyday economy △Grasping household finances △Financial management methods for a stable future. The program focused on practical economic content necessary to keep up with everyday economics, using the latest materials to help participants easily understand.


Professor Ko Doo-gap, head of the Jeonnam Regional Economic Education Center, said, “We continuously provide economic education support necessary to enhance self-reliance capabilities so that Jeonnam regional self-support participants can prepare for a better life,” and added, “We will lead substantial education that matches the participants’ level of understanding, ensures accessibility by directly visiting the demanders, and helps vulnerable groups who need self-support easily learn practical economic education.”
