Police Conduct Search and Seizure on National Tax Service Executive and Steel Company over Bribery Allegations

The police have conducted a search and seizure at the residence of a National Tax Service executive suspected of bribery and related companies.

According to the police on the 21st, the Anti-Corruption and Public Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency is currently conducting search and seizure operations at a total of five locations, including three residences of executive A of the Seoul Regional National Tax Service and related parties, the office of steel company H, and the office of related company M.

Executive A and related parties are suspected of bribery and bribery offering. They plan to secure all materials related to the allegations.

It is known that in 2020, while working at the Busan Regional National Tax Service, Executive A participated in a paid-in capital increase of a steel company based on official duties and interests, earning several hundred million won in profits.
